Company History

Translation Station was founded in 1998 by Phyllis Stallman, a lifelong xenophile with a passion for bridging language barriers. From the beginning, Phyllis recognized that language access is not just a service—it’s a matter of dignity, especially for Atlanta’s growing immigrant and refugee communities.

As a pioneer in the language services industry, Phyllis built Translation Station into a trusted partner for individuals and institutions alike. Her approach—rooted in kindness and competency—earned the loyalty of interpreters and the confidence of clients across sectors. For over 20 years, she led the company with purpose, growing it year after year while keeping it family-owned and proudly certified as a woman-owned business.

In 2018, Lindsey Cambardella to the reins as CEP, and has continued to build on that strong foundation. Under Lindsey’s leadership, Translation Station has accelerated its growth while staying true to its core values. The secret to our success remains simple and steadfast: Kindness and Competency.
